Mama Ametorwoyorna II

Mama Ametorwoyorna II, until her enstoolment, was known by the name Gifty Ametor Tetteh. Her parents were Mr. Dawukpor Tetteh-Larnyoh of Agbozume and Madam Florence Yawo Nuworkpor of Kedzi. She began her basic education at DARSCO International in Accra, a school founded by her beloved father. She continued her education at Kedzi where she completed Form Four. During her formative years in Kedzi, her life was positively shaped by many; notable among them are her beloved grandfather, the late Mr. Emmanuel G. Nuworkpor; the late Reverend Adjavon and Reverend Zevor, who, respectively, grew and nurtured her Christian faith; and Madam Rejoice Fiatefe, the teacher she fondly remembers. She had her secondary education at Philip Secondary Commercial School and Oxford Secretariat Institute and was trained in administration and secretaryship.

Mama is a hardworking woman. She is an entrepreneur and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GAT Academy. This journey began in Bethel Secondary Technical School in Tema Community Five, where she taught and inspired young minds for several years. She later joined the Amen Basic School which belonged to her late mother. At Amen Basic School, she helped her mother to administer the school. This experience ignited and nurtured her entrepreneurial passion, particularly in the educational sector. She worked very hard to generate the resources needed and in 2010, she established the GAT Academy.

Through her hard work, dedication and passion, GAT Academy has grown and flourished, offering quality education, and nurturing the dreams of countless young minds in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality and beyond. At GAT Academy, she does not only manage but gets involved in the quality teaching they provide. Recently, she also undertook a paramedical training at the Widama Training Institute, which has given her the basic knowledge and skills to administer first aid to her pupils whenever the need arises. Mama is married with two children. She is affable, generous and caring, for which reason the traditional authority in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality conferred the title Development Queen on her.
